One easy way to learn about the National Writing Project at Rutgers University is to attend our annual Midwinter Writing Conference. The day begins with the keynote presentation of a speaker nationally recognized for his or her research on writing. Following the keynote, registrants enjoy three workshop sessions, each consisting of five to six concurrent demonstrations that address a particular instructional problem associated with teaching writing. Conference presenters are NWP Teacher Consultants, those who have participated in an Invitational Summer Institute at Rutgers University and are eager to share their practical strategies and activities with colleagues. You'll find that each of the three sessions includes a broad range of topics across the levels of elementary, secondary, and college instruction. Do join us!
